Our Learn how to effectively teach English language learners through our robust Trinity CertTESOL course.
Programme structure
Live Input Sessions
120 hours of input sessions which examine theoretical and practical aspects of EFL teaching.
Observed Teaching Practice
6 hours of supervised classroom teaching.
Unknown Language Journal
Spend 4 hours learning an unknown language and reflecting on this experience.
Learner Profile & Written Assessments
Complete written assignments related to various aspects of the course content and reflect on your learning.
Externally Moderated by Trinity College London
Successfully pass an internal language awareness test in the final week and speak with a Trinity Moderator about various aspects of the course on the last day.

English Language Requirements
The skills to fluently and accurately communicate in spoken and written English. If English isn’t your first language, we require an IELTS score of 7.0 (or equivalent) in each of the four skills. If English is your first language, you need to have a GCSE in English (Grade C minimum) or equivalent.
Academic Requirements
A copy of your most significant academic certificate as proof of qualifications are rigorously checked.
You also need to be able to cope with the academic requirements of the course. This may mean having a university degree, or the academic qualifications that would enable you to be accepted to a degree course. -
To successfully apply and participate, you must be at least 18 years old and meet the entry criteria.
It is not essential to:
Have English as your first language.
Understand a foreign language.
Have any prior teaching experience. -
