What type of English courses are offered by Oxford English School?

At our Oxford English School, we offer courses focused on General English (group and private lessons), IELTS preparation, Junior programmes, and Year-Round Groups. There's something for everyone!

What social activities and cultural experiences can I enjoy in Oxford?

There are a number of fun and exciting social and cultural activities available at our Oxford English School through our social programme. During each week, students enjoy pub nights, walking tours, and Oxford's top attractions, including visiting a museum, exploring Oxford University, or taking in the beautiful view along the River Thames. On the weekends, there may be weekend trips available to a nearby UK city as well.

 

Can I prepare for IELTS at an English school in Oxford?

Yes! We offer IELTS preparation courses for students interested in taking the IELTS exam at all of our English schools.

 

How far is Oxford from London, and how much does transport cost?

Central Oxford to Central London is only aound 60 miles (67 kilometres), which is anywhere from 45 minutes by train to 1 hour 20 minutes by bus. To get to London from Oxford, you could take a taxi, a bus, or the train. Train tickets can start at £5.40 depending on the time of day and how far in advance you book. The average bus ticket from Oxford to London can cost around £20.
