How to Enter the Contest

Create a 60–90 second Reel showing a real day in your life as an Oxford International or OICC student.

Film Your Video

Film yourself throughout the day, showcasing what you and your student peers at our school are up to! Everything from studying and class time to social programme activities, your accommodation/travel to school, and spending time around the city.

 

In your "POV: Day in the Life" video, we want you to show:

⭐ What is it like to live and study in your city?

⭐ How do you get to and from school?

⭐ What does your academic day include?

⭐ What do you do for fun during and after school?

Our committee will score each video based on the following criteria:

✔️ If your "POV: Day in the Life" video met all contest requirements.

✔️ How creative you were with your editing.

✔️ How engaging your caption and hashtags were on the post.

✔️ How much engagement your video received on social media.

Contest Eligiblity

To enter the POV: Day in the Life contest, students must:

1.Create a 60–90 second Instagram Reel showing a real day in their life as an Oxford International English Schools or OICC student.


2.Follow the correct Instagram account:

    • @OIEnglishSchools (English language students)
    • @OICareerColleges (OICC students)
3. Post the Reel on Instagram by June 26, 2026, including:
  • a caption
  • the contest hashtags
  • a tag to the relevant Instagram account
  • an invitation for our account to collaborate on the post

4. Use only original content created by the student entering the contest. Plagiarism, fully AI-generated content, or content created by third parties is not permitted.


5. Ensure all content is respectful and appropriate. Videos must not contain profanity, violence, nudity, hate speech, defamatory content, or material that could damage the reputation of Oxford International or Oxford International Career Colleges.


6. Only use music available through Instagram Reels or properly licensed audio.

7. Avoid including visible third-party logos, copyrighted material, or identifiable individuals without their permission.

Who Can Enter

This contest is open only to students who are actively enrolled at the time of posting at one of the following locations:

English Schools

  • London Greenwich
  • Oxford
  • Brighton
  • Edinburgh
  • Vancouver
  • Toronto
  • Halifax
  • New York City
  • Melbourne

OICC Campuses

  • Halifax
  • Vancouver

Participants must be at least 16 years old to enter.

Employees, affiliates, and immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

Dates & Deadlines

  • Video Posted on Instagram: on or before June 26, 2026
  • Contest closes: June 26, 2026
  • Winners announced: July 6, 2026

Content Usage & Reposting

By posting your Reel, tagging our account, and inviting us to collaborate, you give Oxford International and Oxford International Career Colleges permission to repost, share, edit, and feature your content across our social media channels and marketing platforms.

We may contact participants via Instagram DM to:

  • request a downloadable copy of the video
  • request an email address for winner communication
  • request permission to feature the video on additional platforms such as YouTube

Music & Copyrighted Assets

Students must post their video as a Reel and only use music that is available to select within Instagram's Reels functionality.

Judging Criteria

Entries will be reviewed by a panel of Oxford International employees who are not directly affiliated with individual schools or campuses.

1. If the "POV: Day in the Life" video met all contest requirements.

2. How creative you were with your editing.

3. How creative you were with your caption and use of hashtags.

4. How much engagement your "POV: Day in the Life" video received on our channel when reposted.

Prizes

Not only will you be featured on our global Instagram channel, but you may also win a gift card valued up to $500! 

English Schools prizes (ESL students):

🏅 Third place: $100 Amazon gift card

Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and will be issued in the local currency of the winner’s school or campus location.

Contest Exclusions

Employees, affiliates, and family members of students cannot participate. Only students who are actively enrolled in our school by the date of video posting are eligible to enter.
